Bb Back Squat
405 x 1 x 4 sets PR
335 x 5 x 4 sets
Really focused on going ATG and keeping good form. These were some of the best squats I have ever done, and I felt really great doing them.
Here's to a great session and hitting 500# within a year! :dbells:
Saturday July 19, 2014
203# on my bathroom scale which means I am 213# on a normal scale.
Had an hour of karate early.
Then Strongman Training, dry run for my competition next Saturday
Axle Clean and Press
220 x 4 reps
accidentally skipped the frame hold. did it later on.
Sand Bag Carry
200# bag x 120' (had 30 seconds left and dropped it) the competition sand bag is 240#
keg to 48" platform (230# keg over a 48" bar at the competition)
225# keg to 48" x 6 reps -- need to remember to use sleeves for these as I ended up bruising my biceps again.
Frame Hold
400# x 1:06 My grip is strong on these. I feel like they're my strongest event
Frame Deadlift (in the competition we load a 240# sand bag and a 230# keg into a wheel barrow frame, then deadlift the wheel barrow frame.
650 (tire and weights loaded onto the frame) x 10 x 3 sets alternating with my workout partner.
Came home and spent the afternoon cutting firewood. Dropped about 16 good sized trees so they will start drying out for this winter. Now I'm really pooped.
