I have only ever done reps, but i suppose at my strongest at about 22 years of age, i remember doing 6 reps with 250lbs at one time and i was around 188 lbs bw mainly muscle lol.
On my last two comebacks to old to push to much wth incase of any injuries.
I know when me and my training partner were at the local gym in the 70s, we where reping for 10 at 210lbs, and this chap came in and said do you mind if i just do one, he looked only about 10 stone or a bit more, and he put up 315lbs with fair ease. You should of seen our faces proves you dont have to be big to be strong.
