Awwww well the cats out of the bag. I wrote this thread to be an analogy for Obamacare. They doctors office being the gym. Are you ready for long wait times at your doctors office?

Yeah, but Obamacare is not just about compassion. The old healthcare system was broken bad and not sustainable for much longer, and was making America less competitive in the world.

Obamacare was meant to fix some of the worst problems, thus you have young healthy people forced to buy insurance, even if they don't want to.

So a better analogy would be to require everyone to have a gym membership and have government pay for those who can't afford it. If you don't participate you pay a penalty to the IRS in the form of a tax, because the government reimburses facilities for workouts of the uninsured when they are forced to go to the gym for an exercise emergency. And that is where the analogy breaks down, LOL.

yea but "participating" going sitting on my leg extension machine talking on the phone because if they don't they will get a penalty and participating wanting to better themselves are to different things.

The only thing I have to say on this topic is lets not group all obese folks into one category . I am very well considered obese and am very healthy . I see a doctor maybe twice a year and generally it is a lifting issue not general health . However my family is also obese and the amount of " illnesses "they and thier children have astounds me . I am also 40 years old so the age thing isnt in my favor as far as it catching up to me.

I have more compassion for fat people knowing that the ****ed up nutrition pyramid that the government forces is in fact what made half the people fat in the first place.

When I read this thread I was thinking the obese was defined as the fat and untrained.
Not people who work out. I bet a large part of members here fits in the obese category.
