A deload workout.
You will see in the post above POB said no workout till Wednesday and it was to be a leg thing.
But I really wanted to work out.
Last night he was not at his usually very determined self so I used that opportunity to try to get permission for my workout today.
Amazingly he said: OK
At the gym today was the surgeon who will read my mri. We don't think I need surgery but the doctor and POB wants the mri to see definitively what happened and how long the healing will take.
He took me through the rehab today that was prescribed for my injury.
Flat Dumbell Press
25lbs 1 rep= begin at top, 6 second descent to bottom till as low and as tight as I can go, 4 second pause, 3 second ascent and at the top touch the dumbells and press them together for a 2 count hold.
25lbs x 5 sets x 10 reps These were pretty hard because the time under tension was 2:30 for each set....that's a long time to hold any weight.
It felt good.
Incline Dumbells
same cadence
25lbs x 1 set x 10 reps
raised weight to 35lbs
35lbs x 2 sets x 5 reps
Decline Dumbells
35lbs x 1 set x 5 reps
25lbs x 2 sets x 5 reps
These all felt fine. There was no pain.
Assisted Pull Ups: Bodyweight 265lbs
+160lbs x 1 set x 7 reps
Switched to Cable Pulldowns
120lbs x 4 sets x 20 reps....wow!!! Incredible pump!
Assisted Dips....these went good

This felt great!!!
