Yeah great points. It’s funny you mentioned construction compared to colder climates. What I never understood is why the houses are not insulated in TX. It protects against heat loss, and sure as Sh*t protects the house and keeps it cooler in hotter months. Seems to me it’s not an expensive option especially since there are these hot and cold extremes now. Haha I can I def don’t miss the heat and humidity. But you are right, everyone needs a generator. Summer months, almost every day around 8 or 9 pm, the powers out for an hour so cut down on demand. I sure don’t miss it. Or the hail.

One thing I like about Florida, aside from the inescapable heat. The construction is much more sturdy. Cement block bottom to top. Well anything I'd buy anyway. Some are block on first floor and wood frame up.

Yea that a NO. mine stays at 66 to 67 at all times..
