Fit X 5 (Light Squat & Bench)

Round 1: Squat 45, Bench 45, Dead 110, C&P 50
Round 2: Squat 50, Bench 50, Dead 120, C&P 55
Round 3: Squat 55, Bench 55, Dead 135, C&P 60
Round 4: Squat 60, Bench 60, Dead 150, C&P 65
Round 5: Squat 65, Bench 65, Dead 165, C&P 75

Okay...HOLY CRAP!!!

I absolutely cannot believe I deadlifted 165 lbs and did NOT have to change my grip...Last "go around", I was changing my grip at 120 lbs...My C&P was just fine...Last 3 reps of my 5th set (75 lbs) were a little uglyish, but not really...

Today, I worked my absolute ass off...

Taking the next 2 days off for our event on Sunday...And if I don't kill myself doing grace, I shall return to log how it all went...

Muscles For Mammograms Competition/Event
Olympic Lift "Grace" for time


I have met "Grace"...
I have done "Grace"...
And I have come to the same conclusion as ANYONE else that knows "Grace"...

"Grace" is a BITCH and deserves to DIE!!!

Yeah, this was TOUGH...But I did it...Clean & Press, 50 lbs, 30 reps, 2 minutes 52 seconds...I took 3rd place...

Our 14 year old daughter took 1st place with 45 lbs x 30 with a time of 2 minutes flat...Even our 9 year old little boy did this lift...And YEAH, he got his at 15 lbs x 30...I was proud of BOTH of them...

I tweaked my left arm from shoulder to mid forearm...Bending it and straightening it hurts but I can...Lifting heavy things while grasping something hurts worse and I have to use my right arm to assist my left arm to even pick up a glass of water...

Arms....10 x 5 @ 10 lbs
Calves..10 x 5 @ 95 lbs

So taking THIRTY NINE DAYS OFF due to the forearm injury was NOT a good idea AT ALL!!!

I did all 5 rounds but by damn, I WAS HURTING...I even cried ( ISH ) on my 3rd C&P set...The forearm STILL has NOT healed 100% and that was quite obvious...This time, however, I am NOT going to "let it heal"...I AM going to WORK THROUGH IT to heal it...On my 4th set I changed my dead's being done after my C&P to see if that helped in stretching the forearm after C&P...It didn't "do the trick", but it DID help in stretching it out...

I actually felt like I did the first time I stepped foot in the gym...I had 2 left feet and felt VERY weak...But I did it and that is what matters to me...

After 2 SOLID months off

Just getting back up to speed and catching up...I have NOT been proud of my workouts PERIOD...I TOTALLY messed my elbow up in the Muscles For Mammograms Fund Raiser and was in and out of the gym for 6 months...This is the log from 2/20/2011 till now...

Changed from Body Weight Squats to Weighted Squats (Light)...I feel like I am getting more out of the workout this way...

I will continue to add 5 lbs each week until I reach a reset...
