Workout B

60% light today

Leg Press...160, 185, 210, 240, 275
Dead........105, 120, 135, 155, 175
Clean & Jerk.....50, 50, 50, 60, 70

Crap...Gym closes too early for us...We gotta put up .V.'s gym...

Does anyone have ANY clue how we can "rig" up a leg press??? I can't squat yet...

Ok, the 175 on dead's were actually easy but I am starting to lose my grip a little...I have really small hands and its getting tough...

My clean & jerk was SOOO KEWL...Like WOW, KEWL...I absolutely LOVE this part of Workout B...I think I did it pretty darn good considering I really do NOT know WHAT the HELL I am doing...

Crunch.....60lbsx6, 60x6, 70x6, 80x5, 80x6

The crunches were done to determine my max to add them to my workout.

Next Workout A I will be going up in weight on all.

Oops...I forgetted I was POSED to do 5 x 5 on my chin-ups like the last time I did Workout B...

Last Workout B I used -55lbs assistance for my pull-ups so I tried it this time at -50 for my chin-ups and did just fine...

My deads were from the lowest point in the power rack (below the pins) & I actually didn't have much trouble at all...Surprised myself on that one...I didn't have to go to the mixed grip until I got to the last set this time either, but the 175 started to slip by the 3rd rep...

Guess this means all weights go up next time I do B...

Well, here we go again...After 3 months of mostly off because of work schedules and moving...We now have a home with a basement and we have our very own gym...Better known as The Dungeon...

Since I'm journaling my workouts again here's my most recent cardio:
7/22 and 7/29
Walk 30 minutes (warm up)
Run 60m (moderate intensity) x8
Walk 15 minutes (cool down)

We started lifting all over again & this time I got to add squats...Something I have never done in my life...I was physically unable to do them...Here are my pitiful numbers...And this image is what I feel like: ......

Squat....95 lbs
Dead (from the floor, been doing rack pulls)....135 lbs
Clean & Jerk....80 lbs
Bench....85 lbs
Lat Pulls....80 lbs
Reverse Rows are to failure and & was just playing around on our new equipment so I didn't keep track.....

On a sweet note, however....V. entered me in a body building contest for physically most improved from April 30th - June 30th...There were 30 competitors, 29 of them were MEN, 28 of them were on some SERIOUS gear and when all was said and over with...Little ole ME placed 7th....

I was SO psyched...Still am...And VERY proud of myself...Guess that's what I get for listening to the greatest trainer EVER...MY HUBBY, .V....Thank you baby...

Squats KILLED me...I had to stop on the 2nd rep of my 2nd set...Gotta let the thighs rest longer until I try that crap again...OWIE!!!

OYG I felt like such a WIMP in the Dungeon tonight...GAWD...Taking THREE MONTHS OFF was NOT a good idea...

Can't wait to get my "stuff" back together and get the weights BACK where they NEED to be...

These felt light for me...The only problem that I was having was the palm of my hand where I spilled about 2 cups of scalding hot coffee on my wrist and hand 3 days ago and got 2nd degree burns from it...It hurt, but I made it through...Nothing will stop me from lifting at this point...

I walked 1 mile. My energy level is WAY to low to even consider sprinting. I have absolutely no UMPH what so ever...

After .V. did his sprints, we walked another 1/2 mile.

Okay, tonight I feel it...Crap, I complain when they are light, I complain when they are heavy...Oh well, guess I am just being a female, eh?!?!

Squats were NOT funny at ALL...I don't know how much heavier I can go at this point, but I did them....V. keeps reminding me that I was leg pressing over 400lbs...Ok, that was laying down and pushing, not standing and pointing my heels one way, my toes another way, keeping my knees facing I THINK backwards (not really, but it felt like it), head up, belly full of air, "sit back", go down, touch your thigh to your ankle and stand back up WITHOUT FALLING...What in the hell was I thinking when I said "sure, I'll try this"... Talk about multi-tasking...
