That’s fair. NMN definitely has good human data behind it, especially in older men. I’m not anti-NMN at all. Those studies you linked (the Nature paper, the MIB-626 trial, and the multicenter dose-dependent study) all show that NMN can elevate NAD metabolites and improve some metabolic markers even in middle-aged and elderly adults.

My angle isn’t that NMN “doesn’t work.”

It’s that NMN relies on a multi-step conversion pathway, and that pathway, particularly NAMPT is the rate-limiting step for actually turning precursors into usable NAD+. That bottleneck gets slower with age, with inflammation, and it varies dramatically between tissues. Some tissues respond great, others barely move the needle.

Injectable NAD⁺ just bypasses all of that.
You’re delivering the actual end-product directly into circulation instead of hoping enough precursor survives digestion and passes through the NAMPT choke point.

So it’s really a difference in mechanism, not “NMN good vs bad.” NMN works, the studies show that. I’m just choosing to test the direct route for a while and see how my performance, recovery, and mitochondrial output respond without relying on the whole conversion chain.

I kinda want to try it too. I have a friend that did the NAD IV drip where you sit there for a few hours each session, and he said it was amazing.

You should give it a shot, man. The IV version is basically the same molecule, just delivered all at once over a few hours. Most people feel that huge “reset” from IVs because the dose is massive and it’s hitting the system in one big wave.

I’m just doing the injectable route because it gives me the same active molecule but in smaller, repeated doses. It's more consistent, easier to manage, I don’t have to sit in a chair for 2–3 hours, and the bill is a lot smaller. It’s basically the same end result, just more practical.
