I eat veggies for vitamins and minerals same as walnut almond macadamia nuts for essential fats. I average about 30 grams of fiber a day just from that.
I don't count the fiber from baked pots or brown rice but that could kick it up to 40 grams a day.
I have always been regular bowel movement wise.
But several months ago for whatever reason I was constipated so I started adding in fiber gummies and Palumbo fiberlize for another 15 grams a day.
The extra fiber did nothing but make me bloated and still backed up.
I did a fast and a flush and started eating normally again and still had problems.
Interesting enough, it went away suddenly and was instantly back to normal in a few days.
I didn't figure out what the change was until I read a post about berberine and being regular and traced it back to the start of berberine supplementation.
I guess the point of all this is that I don't eat food for fiber just nutrients.
Also when supplementing fiber to restore regularity supplemental fiber did nothing for me.
