Any Suggestions for Squat Shoes

I love my oly lifting nike romaleos, but they are heavy. The new adidas adipowers are much much lighter. They are great to help with ankle flexion and creating a solid base for your squats. They are both pricey, but well worth it IMHO

I use chucks. For pulling too. I'm old school I guess lol.

I squat in chucks... They made a world of difference in my squat. I now pull barefoot though.

I squat in Oly shoes, to be specific I wear Adipowers. I'm a semi wide stance raw squatter. The heel has the greatest transfer of energy b/c it doesn't compress at all.

As for pulling, I've always pulled barefoot.

Been barefoot since my first copy of Arnold's encyclopedia. 25 years ago.

Chucks are better for deadlifting IMO because the canvas has a lot of give and if you pronate or anything there isn't much protection of the ankle if you are walking your squats out.

I pull in deadlift slippers at meets, just a flat soled shoe is fine for me in training.

My squat shoes are actually just an old pair of work shoes with a good wooden heel on them.

no shoes or i like wrestling shoes to great ankle support better then Chucks i think
