I have a prescrip for Loratadine (about 2x the dose of behind-the-counter claritan/alavert) that I take twice daily, and allergies are still killing me. I mentioned in GA's log that stims seem to help ... such drinking a Monster before leaving for the gym, and an extra half scoop of stim-laden pre-workout when I arrive at the gym seems to open up the breathing holes a bit - and hold back the sniffles.

I'm just a pharmacist. Who suffers from year round, sometimes vertigo inducing allergies. My magic (pending no allergies on your side):

Allegra
Nasonex
Benadryl at night
Short acting sudafed 30m prior to training (no other stims)
Nasal GEL per instructions
Eye drops
Mad mad water
Humidifier
Home air filters

Hopefully that does the trick. Start Allegra 2 weeks prior to allergy season. Good luck mate.

And nice pulls.

Also hear you re: Lebanese. Dated one in college and MAN was I literally property.

Well, you were considered property b/c in Leb women are second class citizens. You could be literally tossed in jail if you pissed him off and you 2 were married in the Catholic church in Leb. I won't lie though.... I'd love to live there. The food is the best I've ever had, the women are hotter then the sun, and then you have the med sea and the mountains where you can ski in the winter. All within an hour drive of each other...

I'll pick up some Allegra and start it asap. Benedryl makes me very drowsy so I'm not sure it would help me sleep but I'll try it again.

I was happy with the fact I was able to pull what I was supposed to do. I did lower the weight just a tad on the last set... it was supposed to be 460 and to be truthful I wasn't sure I'd be able to but I was confident I could manage the 455x5. The last set was touch and go but all the others were performed with a dead stop in between each rep.

Yeah, I do that. I drink a whole redline extreme (2 servings and not just 1). That definitely helps me breathe and allows me to have a decent day.

what were your chains weighing on that one? that looks like a shit ton of speed work and as always I am jealous of the ability to paused squat 400+ that easily

I use 1 big chain and 1 small so it's around 60lbs of chain weight.... give or take. That's the idea. Kill myself with volume in the beginning and then peak in the end with lighter volume but heavier numbers. Gotta build that conditioning first.

400+ for paused squats isn't to bad when it's only 4 sets. You should see what MJR did. It was like 8+ sets of paused squats over 4... WOW! Paused squats have done A LOT for bringing up my squat and I think everyone who's raw should incorporate them into your training. You could be crazy and do double paused squats... ie. like sheiko.

lol hell no. the light paused squats I do are probably the most exhausting lift on squat day. I am pretty sure more sets or heavier would a special kind of pain
