what other back exercises are you doing? have you tried alternating your hand position on you pullups?

I do deadlift, bent row, wide grip pullups. I don't do alot of exercises I guess. Chest: incline press or incline db press, triceps: occasionally close grip incline, biceps: nothing in weeks. I like the basics. My workouts are based on the overhead press, squat, deadlift. If I add anything it'll be more sets of those basics. Seems to work good, but really frustrating I'm not getting more pullups. One thing I have considered is that I've added alot of weight to my body and pretty much have the same pullup strength as before, when I weighed 175, I could do 15-20 chins, 10-12 pullups, and 4 or 5 wide grip pullups, which is pretty much exactly where I'm at now, so I guess the muscles are stronger and if I dropped weight I'd be way ahead of my old numbers. I really wanna do sets of 10-12 on wide grip, I'm pretty lean, couldn't be more that about 12% bf, I'm naturally pretty lean and gotta work at being this fat.

Those are pretty fun, I want to do one strongman event per workout. Prowler with squat, farmers or a drag w/deadlift, one upper body day with the log, the other a rope drag.

2 sets of db rotator thing I saw a trainer having a guy do. I need to put more effort into rotator work, my rights achin a bit and I don't wanna go back to where it once was.
2x Rope sled pull with thick rope 250+lb sled, 100+ feet
I liked this alot, great upper body pump from my traps to my forearms.

wise decision to do some prevention instead of rehab after the fact!

Side to side squat 95x10 was gonna do more but strained something in my hamstring/ass area and had to stop

i have a hard time with holding the bar on front squats as well. it is very hard on my wrists.

no bueno on the ass strain!

Luckily today my ass/hammy region is a-ok. I am terribly sore though. I loved that workout. I think adding creatine was a good move. Weight was 229. I want to go no higher that 245-250 so I can make middleweight at strongman. I think I will be the tallest middleweight around.

glad to hear that the hammy and ass are fine!

i need to get back on creatine. been over 6 months since i have taken it. it helped me a ton the last time i took it!

It's definately great for long sessions. Less strength lost set to set. Last time I took it was about 8 years ago prior to a competition and I hit PR's in just about every event, even though I had just gotten over a flu and lost 10 pounds. I feel like I've been missing out. Great stuff.
