Tried to deadlift on Monday, after about 5 days of no pain whatsoever in my hamstring and 100 reps a day of 95 pounds, and at 380ish (kilo plates) I felt a slight sting and immediately shut it down. Zero residual pain since then, but I don't think I'll be deadlifting anything heavy before meet day, which blows.

Benched last night, finally able to test for a good opener. Then light front squatting afterwards.

295 x 8 (Weight moved fast but I just cannot breathe while holding a front squat for 4+ reps, and at this point the gym was closing.)


Awesome day, all in all. Why? Because I did all of the above in Izod Comfort Stretch jeans and a wife beater tank. Why? Because I didn't have a chance to go home and get ready before going to the gym. Why? Because I was at an absolutely smoking hot figure-competitor's house, getting laid and realizing that even after a gut-wrenching divorce, a 9.9/10 will make you forget all about it. Had a blast with this woman and she's literally already made a joke about me being perfect for selective breeding...which MJR and POB and a few others on here know, IS NOT A JOKE TO ME. I'm all about spreading my seed and finding an absolute beast to make a perfect specimen with. This chick is ex college volleyball AND soccer, 5'10", loves lifting, obviously athletic as hell and built like it, and has a high IQ. I'm going to blast some hcg and clomid and drop the boys off to do their work, haha. Kidding, not kidding.


I'm banged up, yes, but you know what? I'm going to this meet to do the absolute best that I can, right now, for me. My training partner is a huge focus of mine as well, because he is healthy and poised to make a stab at top 30 ALL TIME at this meet. Can't fvcking wait.

Sucks you can't pull before the meet but you'll do fine. Congrats on finding such a sexy distraction. PM where the meet is b/c perhaps I can make a road trip.

Great news on the pussy!!! Bad news on the pulling.

But I'll say this, I just had a meet on Sunday. I tore an intercostal during my peak and wasn't able to pull for 6 weeks leading up to the meet. Best I could do was conjugate with Suspended yoke bar GM's at RPE8.

I missed my 3rd pull because of a loss of form, but I still got a small meet PR on the 2nd attempt.

Let it rest, and I'm sure you will be ok on meet day.

The weight felt light and the aggression from the halo is REALLY REALLY kicking in hard. Both in and out of the gym, which is a nuisance for sure. But felt great about how fast I blew up 545 today, until I weighed myself and saw 263 on the scale. I should be holding water with as much gh as I'm running, so that number was a shock. Last check had me at 274 about a week ago. No obvious thing to blame it on either. Going to run a quick slin protocol and try to load back up with water and glycogen.

Benching tomorrow.

I really can't pinpoint it. My appetite hasn't been stellar, but it hasn't been horrible either. I've been staying plenty hydrated and I'm not terribly active right now as far as cardio type stuff. I'm really hoping it's not a blood sugar issue. My dad lost a bunch of weight before being diagnosed with type II diabetes. I'm going to be running a custom protocol over the next two weeks of insulin EOD with metformin on the off days.

It's really good to see you back here SAD and so active in the log. Those squats look great and awesome that 545 flew up. I bet that felt amazing. When is your meet? Will it be the big 3 in comp?

Meet has come and gone. Not a great showing.

Squats -
638 - Good lift
672 - Good lift
700 - Miss

Bench -
366 - Good lift
391 - Good lift
407 - Miss

Deadlift -
606 - Good lift (reinjured hamstring)
622 - Good lift
637 - Miss (would've put me over 1700 at bodyweight of 267.)



Total - 1685lbs

All in all, with a horrible training cycle coming into the meet due to injuries, and a nice upper respiratory infection that hit hard 2 days before the meet, I still didn't completely embarrass myself. Next meet will be this summer, at a legit 275 this time, and I WILL total well over 1800.
