That was a solid total no matter the circumstances.

Are you pulling with a hook grip? I couldn't tell but I don't think you were using a mixed grip.

1685 is a solid total for anyone.

You decided to do a meet with 4 weeks to peak, battled some injuries, and you still almost hit 1700.

Don't hang your head, just get back to work for the summer.

Squat speed was great!

2nd attempt bench seemed easy.

Did you run out of gas?

Great numbers regardless of training/lack of....goes to show you that you have a bunch more in the tank at full potential.

Injured, under the weather, with little peaking time and you almost hit 1700 while being lighter than your normal training weight??

That's a fuxking win my dude!

First off, you already did great because you competed, and put yourself in the meet.

Second, those numbers are big, no matter what body weight. You sir are not average.

It's tough getting a lesser total then the last time out. So beat yourself up about it for a couple days and then it's time to get consistent again and not look back.

Consider it a throw away meet just to give your future training some direction.

Meet has come and gone. Not a great showing.

Squats -
638 - Good lift
672 - Good lift
700 - Miss

Bench -
366 - Good lift
391 - Good lift
407 - Miss

Deadlift -
606 - Good lift (reinjured hamstring)
622 - Good lift
637 - Miss (would've put me over 1700 at bodyweight of 267.)

Total - 1685lbs

All in all, with a horrible training cycle coming into the meet due to injuries, and a nice upper respiratory infection that hit hard 2 days before the meet, I still didn't completely embarrass myself. Next meet will be this summer, at a legit 275 this time, and I WILL total well over 1800.
Can't win them all, props for staying the course after your hammy went. Time to rest up, heal and look towards the next one.

All the best and keep up the hard training. I'm sure even though this meet didn't go the way you wanted it to you can still take plenty of positives away from it MF.
