I tried this and my deadlift stuck at ~600 for a year and a half.
I did a lot better following more of a Frantz style program of " beat the shit out of it, then rest".... stiff legged, pulls off of blocks, pulls from a deficit, bands and chains etc still ARE deadlifting.
In the past 18 months I've taken my best pull in contest ( after squatting and pressing) from 606 to ~730 and close to 8 in the gym....
no doubt the no deadlift stuff might work for some guys, just not for me.
