I tried this and my deadlift stuck at ~600 for a year and a half.

I did a lot better following more of a Frantz style program of " beat the shit out of it, then rest".... stiff legged, pulls off of blocks, pulls from a deficit, bands and chains etc still ARE deadlifting.

In the past 18 months I've taken my best pull in contest ( after squatting and pressing) from 606 to ~730 and close to 8 in the gym....

no doubt the no deadlift stuff might work for some guys, just not for me.

I've found that I need to do both (the lift itself and assisting lifts). I address my weaknesses in my deadlift by attacking them with my assisting lifts but I also perform the lift itself EW. I think when you stop addressing your weaknesses you stall. If just pulling 1 or multiple times a week worked everyone would just pull and set new records.

I have changed my workouts to complete full deads once in a while. Most he time opting for rack pulls, revers hypers and good mornings. I also incorporate pullups. These have worked well for me. A nice article and information..thank you for sharing.
