Im gonna have to start lifting at like 4 am in order to get my lifts in....

What can people recommend in order to take that doesnt cause issues like a racing heart or stuff like that?

I need something that will make me alert within minutes (say 15) so i can pop outa bed and lift that early!!

Anyone?
Thanks

Bro, I couldn't tell you, if I don't have a pre-workout that gets the heart pumping I don't think it's worth a crap, I take it for the intensity and extra boost. Maybe good vitamins add some extra Niacin, and a Nitric Oxide enhancer (pills)

1) Start going to bed earlier
2) Cup of coffee before you leave for the gym

I lift pretty early myself. Let me tell you, rolling out of bed early sucks! It sucks ass! But after you're finished lifting you're glad you got up because you feel awesome all day.

I've tried the pre workout powders before and all it did was give me a stomach ache and the runs later on. I just have some BCAA's like Xtend take a little Cialis and start up. I try to stay away from caffeine myself.

The hardest part is just getting out of bed. Once you start moving around and your blood starts flowing you'll be good to go.

Mini and audix,

Thanks for the replies! I will also be doing my masters degree so im not sure how early ican go to bed!

Also i do wonder if the drinks will give me a stomach ache as well? Bcaa's sounds good along with maybe some crushed caffeine pills mixed in perhaps?

Thanks guys

You essentially have two options.

A. Drink a few cups of coffee

B. Jacked 3D, not the micro stuff, the original stuff.

I normally drink coffee, usually 4 or 5 6oz cups, so that's 3 mugs.

That's about it

I'm not a coffee drinker myself. I like the MIO water flavoring. They have two energy types, green thunder which is apple and black cherry which is a sweet cherry.

I do use a preworkout but I don't use a full scoop. Perhaps under dosing might be the ticket for you.

Coffee first thing in the morning (a cup or two) shouldn't make you jittery unless you are really sensitive to caffeine.

Once you get into the swing of getting up early it actually starts to become pretty easy, I found it's always bloody hard to get out of bed early if you only do it once in a while. If you're training 3-4 x week then after a couple of weeks it should start to strangely feel pretty normal lol.

I'm kind of like that, I never really liked the way Pre-WO's make me feel so I did my own research and made my own mix up ;)

Either that or a good cup of coffee (espresso machine, none of that instant or packet shit), and I'm ready to tear shit up.

I will be the first to admit that i have an caffine problem, much like my alcohol problem but thats besides the point. my point is i switch pre-wo stuff, for the most part they all contain the same stuff.

i wake up, drink a carb free red bull and have a serving of a pre wo and when i get to the gym its 10 minutes on the treadmill plotting out my lifting.

now i will say i had a friend tell me about a decent product called thermo fuse, this stuff is good
