I was off my normal schedule and wanted to make up some days, so this is how it worked out LOL!

I think the landmine squats are a nice substitute for goblets. It's nice not having to mess around and try to situate heavy DB's...not only that but when the gym is packed and people are hoarding in front of the DB racks...I don't have time for that. I think they're also a good substitute for the front squats. I love doing front squats but I know many people who have trouble getting comfortable with the bar when it comes to placement, grip, etc...

It's nice to have options and try something different. :)

Appreciate the details, Kim. I am one of those whose unflexible wrists cause problems with all of the front squat grips and bar placement. And, true, getting heavier DBs and KBs in place for goblets can also be a pain in the ass. So, I think you just taught this old dog a new, not to mention productive trick. Will definitely try the landmines. Thank you!!!

I don't do them. So I'm always looking for variations. The BB Hack Squat has been my favorite alternative, but I've become a beast doing them and it's like pulling heavy deadlifts from the floor an extra time during a week. I'll definitely check these out when I get back to regular training mode.

Even the short and sweet days are solid. Landmine squats, now landmine rows. If you do landmine oblique twists, I'm going to think your gym will need a minesweeper. :D
