was married (16yrs)
ok i get deployed for 12th time in 20 yrs ---most 8-14mths long
i get blown up and shot
almost die
5 mths into getting up moving finally---i get big D papers
a mth later my military retirement
get home to find she is with my best friend --(his wife(ex now) was her bestie) our kids are all planned around each other we did all the family events together
16 mths later they are married
and about a year later my oldest gets sick and after some shit come to find out shes (my oldest) is his daughter

so what ya got on that?

and now since then ---i raised 2 daughters to adulthood as a single dad (oldest calls me dad and wouldnt live with them) talk about a court battle just there
and just half a year ago i found out my son has autism---and im raising him alone(thou i have a awesome GF)

shot 3x
blown up 1x
25 surgeries
hip replaced etc etc

but u know what??

im blessed !!!

so rem s1 always has had it worse
so MAN up find help ---talk about it
soon as u do this Miss right will show

its how you deal with the punches
i hold no anger toward them NOW
like i said IM BLESSED

A good Dr friend shared this joke with me 2 years ago. I was just reminded of this 2 weeks ago......

My point is, you're dwelling on this subject of loss and heart break. Your wanting things to be different, wanting her to come back and contact you, but in reality, is that what you really want? or just the insight into why she broke it off? And maybe forget that even happened.

I get it, you had all these plans, all these dreams, trips planned, you saw your life together with her... And that's going to happen for you with a girl, but NOT with that girl. And you'd never want that. Good she left and broke things off, that's the best thing that could have happened.. (you can thank me for this in a few years when you meet Mrs's Right) What this event is showing you is your choice in women, your picking your women based on wrong foundations. Rather than find a girl that is emotionally happy, stable, not in a relationship.. Your attracted to these unhappy women, ones with emotional drama, that are never happy. I say this, because you know deep in your brain you think you can make them happy, and you want to rescue this girl and give her a great life... Its the knight in shining armor... But that's NOT a healthy relationship. A healthy relationship is two people serving each other and always doing the best for each other.

You want to look for women that are happy, smiling, laughing, having fun in life, hanging out with friends. Stay away from the ones that complain ALL the time, never look happy, confrontational, never do anything, or just watch reruns of the same ole TV shows..... If you take a minute to look, you'll see and be able to weed through the wrongs to find Mrs's Right.

You're right brother. I do seem to go for people that need fixing and I certainly put in more than she did. I'll always love her, but she knew I would of given my life for her or done anything for her. So she knew she had power over me, at least I can safely say I'll never let that happen again.
