I've sat in a sweat lodge for a few days on peyote saw the same spirit animal each time , tried the ayahuasca , both of em i got sicker than a dog but it's wild to say the least, God Bless ya , the most amazing journeys we can take are inside our own minds

The tortoise spirit animal symbolizes longevity, wisdom, protection, and patience. It represents a quiet strength, reminding people to be determined and to find inner strength and peace through introspection, even when the world is fast-paced. The tortoise encourages a slower, more intentional approach to life, while its shell signifies the power of self-reliance and the ability to retreat inward for protection.

  • Patience and determination:
The tortoise's slow, steady pace symbolizes perseverance and the ability to achieve goals without rushing. It is associated with the wisdom of taking things easy and learning from experiences.

    • Protection and introspection:
The tortoise's shell represents its ability to protect itself. As a spirit animal, it encourages introspection, inner strength, and the wisdom of knowing when to retreat inward to preserve energy and find solace.
    • Longevity and wisdom:
Due to their long lifespans, tortoises are often seen as ancient and wise creatures who have accumulated great knowledge.
    • Stability and grounding:
In many cultures, the tortoise is associated with the Earth and stability, reminding people to stay grounded and steady on their journey.
    • Cultural significance:
The tortoise holds deep spiritual meaning in many cultures, such as in Chinese mythology as one of the Four Spiritually Endowed Creatures, in Native American "Turtle Island" creation stories, and as the Kurma avatar in Hinduism.

Aya is exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve tried just about every psychedelic known to man except for Iboga and honestly, I’m not strong enough for that one. My wife has done it twice, both times under 24-hour medical supervision in a hospital. It’s incredibly intense and dangerous; they’ve even banned it in Russia now because the risks are too great.

It’s wild that you mentioned the tortoise, because my spirit animal has always been the turtle. They’re all over my house. I relate to that symbolism completely; carrying the weight of the world on my back, retreating when life feels overwhelming, and moving forward slowly but steadily. It’s both my greatest strength and my biggest weakness.

When my anxiety is too heavy for edibles , i go for a few caps and it mellows me right out , golden halos are perfect for it not strong and not that weak.

Ive read up and looked into Iboga but to be honest it scared me. I love tripping and getting mellow in my head but that sounds a bit too far out in the weeds for comfort with my rage and berserker issues.

She said the trip lasted over 24 hours, and each time she came back, she had multiple psychiatrists check in with her after the nurses cleared her. It’s got to be the strongest psychedelic out there, definitely not for the faint of heart.

She also spoke about what she saw and who she encountered that were later confirmed by hospital records. It really seems to remove the veil between worlds

You know, Aya... she helps guide you, heal you, and show you your inner strength so you can face your demons. But Iboga… that just seems to be on a whole other level entirely.

You guys are brave and I respect you for it. I am a coward when it comes to that stuff. I don’t know what the criteria is now but any psychedelic was an immediate dq for any selection or clearance so in a way, my fear helped me into a career that ultimately destroyed my brain. Yet they practically encourage us to kill ourselves with alcohol. The strongest I’ve even messed with was phenibut but even that was intense. It let me sleep when I never thought I would again but there was a huge trade off in dreams.

I wouldn't call it brave. I was called to the medicine. I can honestly say it saved my life. It made me a better husband, son, friend, etc... Not everyone is called to the work and you don't have to start with something so strong. I know some people who meditate while on shrooms, I know others who microdose acid. There are many ways to work on yourself.

For Aya, you really can’t be on anything: antidepressants, antipsychotics, ADHD meds, benzos, mood stabilizers, MAOIs... basically all the “you’re crazy” or “calm you down” stuff. That’s because your heart can spike and then suddenly crash. You’ll go from burning up to freezing cold in minutes. It’s incredibly dangerous if you’ve got anything in your system that interferes with the MAOI in the brew.

And I’d say Iboga is even worse. The criteria are stricter, and you’re under 24/7 medical supervision, hooked up to machines that monitor your heart and vitals, because things can go bad fast.

Now, I don’t want to talk ill, but there are people out there who claim to administer Aya and it’s not the real thing. Not even close. Some mix mushrooms or other drugs to mimic the effects, but it’s nowhere near the experience.

Very happy with how training went. I've allowed my weight to creep back up. Added a big cheat meal on Friday evening after squats and it's paying off. Weight is back up to 230's (low) and I feel much more resilient.

Yeah, but Aya isn’t just the caapi vine by itself. The vine (Banisteriopsis caapi) contains the harmala alkaloids, that’s the MAOI that lets the medicine actually work, but it has to be mixed with another plant like Psychotria viridis (Chacruna).

Those leaves are what provide the DMT, the part that brings deep journeying. The caapi is like the key that unlocks the door, and the Chacruna is the light that shows what’s inside. Without both, it’s not Aya.

And depending on the shaman, other plants are sometimes added to the brew to either intensify the experience or to help align it with your specific intention for the ceremony.

I gotcha covered ;) .... there's good reason why no one ever sips from Grampys coffee cup

I'm a plant and gardening geek , got it from my Grandmother on my Moms side, she had a dedicated sun porch area that was her plant room , like walking into an indoor jungle , in her kitchen she had shelves over a wall of windows over the counter/sink area and I swear to God dude at one time there were as many as 200 african violets in 4 inch ceramic pots on them.

We always had gardens and my Mom was real big into herbalism and wicca so our gardens always had some pretty odd stuff going on in them.

That's awesome! In my next house, I plan on having a sun room again where I can have floor to ceiling plants. Mount some speaker at each corner of the ceiling and mount a hammock from the ceiling trusses. That way I can go in and just decompress and relax. There's nothing better. My new townhome doesn't have that and I miss it. I'm thinking of turning my deck into a sanctuary but we may be moving up north after next year so I don't want to invest to much.

WED - Conditioning
35min walking outside. Just bodyweight, no weighted vest this time. I'm trying to slowly test my ankle and prep it for tomorrow squat session.

Happy with how it felt and of course tonight is a stab myself in the outer malleolus. I've been taking my BPC/ TB shots there as it's the injured aread. Technically, it's my PTT (Posterior Tibial Tendon) which is medial but I'm not sticking myself on the side. There isn't loose skin I can pinch there and I don't want to hit nerves, bones, etc. It just needs to be in the area but as close as possible.
