Last Week!!!!!!!!

Intensity: Mid-Low

Fatigue: Feel great. Groin hurts a little

This week was a cake walk. They make it clear it is all about feeling good on Thursday for PR Day. My groin is a little sore everytime I do heavy squats. That's normal for me. It has been a problem my whole life. I have started to add in my stretching routines to help. PR day went well.

Friday was a nice hard intense day. A fitting end. 10 sets of 10 close grip bench (in a superset no less). I went heavy causes I'm that kind of stupid. Had a huge chest and forearm pump. Felt great! Then End on 10 sets of 10 Biceps curls. Again I like to hurt so I went heavy again.

The best part and what made me really start feeling myself. While I'm grunting though the pain of 10 reps of 10 bench on Friday.... I'm the only one on any of the 8 racks in the gym. This woman goes to the rack right next to me to do squats. She's lifting pretty light but OMG just my type. Tall and shapely latina in a leotard with her chest half way out lol. I'd says she is maybe 40 years old (if that). On my 7th or 8th rep she asked me if I could check her form. I'd be annoyed normally because I'm on a timer between reps... but she was hot so of course I helped. Anyway after the rep she asks if I do personal training and says she's trying to get her gluts in shape as she stick it out toward me. I tell her "not really" because I'm married and my wife would kill me and throw the body in the river. To that this woman still asked for my number saying maybe we could get together and I could give her some pointers at least. So now I have to be more direct and tell her my wife would kill me and her both if I even thought about it. God I must love my wife :) Anyway that made my day because she was that hot and I'm an ugly bald head mofo :)

Reesults

PR day went well. I got 345 up. Thats a 40lb gain in 1 month. NOW take this into consideration. I am coming back from a layoff. My legs have always been a strength. I had 350 on the bar and honestly I feel like my legs would have done it but my mind wouldn't let me. Who's to say maybe I could have done more than 305 at the start too but was afraid in my head.

Overall I am very happy with the gains. I plan on trying a bench routine from them next. Then December is Deadcember.

Also I used to do more a typical BB routine. This had made me really want to incorporate more of a powerlifting pure strength routine

Day 1: All I Want for Christmas is a Big Bench
Started on a Tuesday because monday was spent at the doctor getting my eyes dilated and telling me I need another eye surgery to reattach my cornea to it's blood source. So fun getting old. (only 53  )

Chest is a weak point of mine. Even when I was young I couldn't get above 275 without anabolics. A little test and I smashed that but naterally there was no way. Right now I'm at 205 lbs max. My weakest lift by far. My goal with this program..... Based on what Squatober did for my legs I hope to get to 225. We will see.

Anyway, day one looked easy but I spent 90 min on it. It was one of those few days where I really didn't feel like being in the gym. My body felt achy and sore. Probably a combo of a long day of golf on Sunday and getting my flu and covid shot on monday while I was there for my eye exam. I pushed through it and got a good work out still but normally I enjoy being there where as this day I did not.

On a good note being this is not as intense on my legs like Squatober I did add my 30 min treadmill walk back immediately post workout. During Squatober I was trying to do this later in the evening and missed a few walks because of things popping up at home. When I was crazy insane in my youth training to compete I would do 2 sessions of cardio a day. I am a total meso and what ever I can do to help my metabolism.

Day one in the books leaving for the gym now for day 2

I was going to say, this would be one of the dumbest things you can do at 53 years of age. It is not if you get a pec tear, but when.

HOWEVER, you aren't pushing a lot of weight. Go for it!

My chest is a serious weak point and always has been. If I can get to 325 or n a year or so I’d be happy. I have lifted more than that in my youth but I was seriously enhanced
