I've sat in a sweat lodge for a few days on peyote saw the same spirit animal each time , tried the ayahuasca , both of em i got sicker than a dog but it's wild to say the least, God Bless ya , the most amazing journeys we can take are inside our own minds
The tortoise spirit animal symbolizes longevity, wisdom, protection, and patience. It represents a quiet strength, reminding people to be determined and to find inner strength and peace through introspection, even when the world is fast-paced. The tortoise encourages a slower, more intentional approach to life, while its shell signifies the power of self-reliance and the ability to retreat inward for protection.
- Patience and determination:
The tortoise's slow, steady pace symbolizes perseverance and the ability to achieve goals without rushing. It is associated with the wisdom of taking things easy and learning from experiences.
- Protection and introspection:
The tortoise's shell represents its ability to protect itself. As a spirit animal, it encourages introspection, inner strength, and the wisdom of knowing when to retreat inward to preserve energy and find solace.- Longevity and wisdom:
Due to their long lifespans, tortoises are often seen as ancient and wise creatures who have accumulated great knowledge.- Stability and grounding:
In many cultures, the tortoise is associated with the Earth and stability, reminding people to stay grounded and steady on their journey.- Cultural significance:
The tortoise holds deep spiritual meaning in many cultures, such as in Chinese mythology as one of the Four Spiritually Endowed Creatures, in Native American "Turtle Island" creation stories, and as the Kurma avatar in Hinduism.
Aya is exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve tried just about every psychedelic known to man except for Iboga and honestly, I’m not strong enough for that one. My wife has done it twice, both times under 24-hour medical supervision in a hospital. It’s incredibly intense and dangerous; they’ve even banned it in Russia now because the risks are too great.
It’s wild that you mentioned the tortoise, because my spirit animal has always been the turtle. They’re all over my house. I relate to that symbolism completely; carrying the weight of the world on my back, retreating when life feels overwhelming, and moving forward slowly but steadily. It’s both my greatest strength and my biggest weakness.
