Just an update....heading to the Mayo Clinic on the 11th for a surgery consult. Two surgeons, who have priviledges there will be doing the operation. One has experience working with the Spanish Olympic team and the other is currently working with the Canadian Olympic team. I'm very very fortunate to have a local surgeon who is pretty well-known who has some connections. Luckily, too, he also understands my desire to lift. So therefore, he has my best interest at heart and wants to ensure I get the best care. I'm thinking I will be in pretty good hands. I also had an EMG done last Friday and it did detect a compressed radial nerve as well. I'm hoping this will not complicate my elbow arthoscopy. I definitely would rather have scope than be cut open. This is the same arm I had my bicep tendon rupture on. Hopefully by cleaning out the elbow and getting out all those pieces of bone and cartilage and etc, I will be back at it soon. The nerve issue kinda worries me though....til then, lifting will be hit and miss.
