Guys my apologies, I was locked in a conference room in New Orleans all week for work. RFG & I both arrived tonight. One of us will ask the funeral director tomorrow. As you might guess this is very difficult for the family and I presume having to write thank you cards and everything they are going through it is overwhelming. Could be that donations through the two charities would also benefit more than just the family and possibly create a legacy in GF’s name.
We’ll let you know about their wishes when we find out tomorrow.

@Wally Your answer is right here in this thread ... it's a timing thing ... see Friggemall's Posts#1 and Post#8.
A couple of us acted right away when we saw this thread and made the phone call as suggested in Post#1.

Frigg's Post#8 offers the Obituary and a website through which you could join. Apparently, the family wanted donations to go, not to them, but to those organizations all along.
Oh I see, thank you sir!

Let me know if anyone has given to safe horizon and wants to link or send me a pm. I’ve been at the y all morning doing kids basketball but i was able to do the semper fi fund right from my phone(they have my stuff on file already anyway).

From all the soldiers out there goodbye, Marine. Glad he got to celebrate his 250th birthday.

Very sad. You could see Amy and Gunner were wrecked. As was Kaitlin. Sorry it took this for me to make the trip to see him.

Don’t wait to go visit that friend you’ve made on the boards. If they mean that much make the effort. Lee just taught us something else. Tomorrow isn’t promised.

Was great spending time with @Friggemall last time we got together was 12 years ago.

I went directly to see @pincushn 20 years the brother. Like Lee. And the rest of the Mods from WCBB. We’re all literally in contact almost daily and have been since the board went down.
