I have rhomboid issues too. I am going to give A.R.T a shot.

foam rollers blow. real men use pvc pipes lol. im too heavy for most commerical foam rollers and they tend to just flatten out after a minute or so. i prefer lacrosse balls. they hit the trigger points harder anyways

Foam rolling is great for helping to push out the muscle while stretching. I also use it on my spine to help increase mobility. The lacrosse ball is used for a different purpose though, so you really can't replace one with the other for their intended purposes.

OP look up stecco and warren hammer's work on fascial manipulation, very interesting
