Having a spot on bench is huge. At least there are safety bars you can use on squats if you're dolo. I recently set up a bench meetup weekly with my boy and it's made a world of difference, especially when trying to set rep PRs with heavy weight.

300 by October would be spectacular. Crush it!

I'm at a commercial gym for now....long story but with the safety pins, it's a bigger boost of confidence for sure....just don't have them now.

Funny thing is I'm going to help this guy with his squat....we went over some brief tips after our bench sesh and he was amazed at the small tweaks I pointed out. Thankfully 2 out of my 3 lifts don't suck so at least there's a symbiotic element to working out with this guy.

As mentioned before, he trained with Scot Mendelson and has some pretty cool stories.....was chatting with POB last night and even the way that we warmed up and set up was eerily similar.....makes you feel proud to be a part of our small community when you're on the same page with someone that you train with.

Taking today off....working from home before a wedding tomorrow so my diet will slack but I'm going to try and fit in a squat session sunday after I see my father.

Superset day. Only had 40-45 mins and shit, I made the most out of it. Got that itchy face and "lungs on fire" type feeling after today's session.

Did a few pull ups and wide grip pull downs to warm up.

BB rows:
135 x 15
185 x 10
205 x 10
225 x 8
225 x 8
225 x 7

in between each of the last 4 sets, I cranked out some BW dips.....

BW x 15
BW x 25 (well its about fkn time!)
BW x 18
BW x 16

Superset, no rest in between...I'll keep it simple

Wide grip pulldowns
160 x 10
160 x 10
180 x 7 (starting to get gassed....this was the beginning of round 3)
140 x 9 (nothing left)

Straight arm pulldowns
40 x 10 x 4

Rear delt pec deck
100 x 8
85 x 10
85 x 10
70 x 10

Bicep curls DB's
35 x 10
40 x 10
50 x 6
40 x 8

some light ab work and 2 supersets (all the way up and all the way back down, 5 reps each bicep curl with rope).

shaking. 222.5lbs

Thanks Dh, I wanted/needed to Pull but work comes first and my night is jam packed tonight so this was the best that I could do today. I was in a pissed off mood and felt much better after the session.

How about an update.......garbage bag training? Pushups, sit ups........your gym is only 10X10 now haahahaha.......sorry bro....just bustin your balls for your latest good times. That mattress came in handy again ;)

Now back to it!!!

haha, I throw soap bars in the pillow cases for my curls when I'm in the bricks.....not my first time haha.

Nice session bro. I like those 245 sets, I bet that was a nice pump. I love when my chest feels flooded with blood. Mine still feels like it from yesterday's workout.

I like to make my pecs bounce after a hard chest workout and the flowing day lol. Gheeyy right?

Well the pump came more from the failure sets with the close grip, but ya I saw your workout too, that looked like fun! :)

I love doing dropsets to failure on bench but I never have a damn spot!! I need to take a road trip so we can destroy ourselves under the iron together. I guess I'm gonna start this flood and destroy that JB is talking about. I liked the sound and he challenged me.
