Having a spot on bench is huge. At least there are safety bars you can use on squats if you're dolo. I recently set up a bench meetup weekly with my boy and it's made a world of difference, especially when trying to set rep PRs with heavy weight.
300 by October would be spectacular. Crush it!
I'm at a commercial gym for now....long story but with the safety pins, it's a bigger boost of confidence for sure....just don't have them now.
Funny thing is I'm going to help this guy with his squat....we went over some brief tips after our bench sesh and he was amazed at the small tweaks I pointed out. Thankfully 2 out of my 3 lifts don't suck so at least there's a symbiotic element to working out with this guy.
As mentioned before, he trained with Scot Mendelson and has some pretty cool stories.....was chatting with POB last night and even the way that we warmed up and set up was eerily similar.....makes you feel proud to be a part of our small community when you're on the same page with someone that you train with.
Taking today off....working from home before a wedding tomorrow so my diet will slack but I'm going to try and fit in a squat session sunday after I see my father.
