Maybe this will help, maybe it wont: I have tight tendons on the outside of my thighs, that cause a burning sensation and occasional shooting pains. For years I thought I was having sciatica or other problems, then my chiropractor diagnosed it and gave me stretches. The stretches helped, but the pain went away when my coach had me start foam rolling my quads and outer legs. He said not to roller the joints (hip or knee), just the muscle between the joints. Now I go weeks without rollering and experience no pain.
Make a trip to boston soon. I will introduce you to my ex wife. A couple minutes of some agony and you will feel amazing after.

Haha! Is the agony because she's ugly to look at or just ugly to deal with, or both?

8 fkn years since this thread was updated - man oh man this was fun to look back on. I'll update this periodically as my kids are older and life has had a ton of twists and turns since I was able to train consistently.

man these were some easier times in life. Zero ragerts.

So here's where we are today....

Light bench/chest and back (ancillary) day.

Flat BB

225 x 5 x 3

Pec deck 4 sets of whatever

Rear delts on pec deck - 4 sets, no clue of the weight as it's all different anyhow.

Upright rows
95 x 10 x 4

BB rows
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 5 x 3

BB Shrugs

225 x 15 x 3

Felt cute so I did a rope superset starting at 20 on the cables 5 reps each up to 62.5 and back down to 20 twice - got myself a nice little pump on the way out.

Still training when I can - sometimes I realize it's been 10 days since I lifted anything and I've learned to accept it. Sitting near 225-228 around 18% or so.

worked my way up to 225x3x5

BB rows:

135x10
185x10
225x6x3

some shrugs and arm stuff.


Posting here more to keep me accountable and honest as I have a personal bet with a few buddies

Recent death in the family and a career switch all in the last 3 weeks. Still getting it in 2-3x/week.

Back day today.
Worked up to 405x3x5 for easy triples on dead lifts. Haven’t pulled in a while so this was encouraging.

some pull downs up to 200 for sets of 8

superset of bi’s and cable shit then 15 mins at 3.5 with a 10 incline.

Chest day - warmed up to 245 for 3 and shoulder started hurting so I put the slingshot on and did 245x5x3 then some volume work with 185 and a drop to 135

banged out some shrugs with 120’s, tricep supersets and 15 mins at 3.5 on the treadmill with a 10 incline. I’ll increase the incline to 15 next week now that my lungs are acclimating to more volume stuff.
