Don't stoooooppppp beeeelieeevvvvving..... Holllllllddddd ooooonttttoooo that feeeeeellllling.....
Like my Journey impersonation, lol... Seriously though, don't stop lifting. Perhaps it's time to just lighten the workloads and let your body heal.
Not bad, but you're a better lifter than a singer.
Never!
I'm still building the home gym and I have zero intention of stopping....but for the next few months, I really need to focus on health (drop a few lbs, eat better, drink less) and being there for my kids. Not to run up the stairs then stop playing because Daddy got another back twinge.
So for now, as far as competing; I'm either committed or I'm not and I can't give it 100% with everything else that's going on in my life (family, career, sports, weddings, etc)
So as long as I can squat 315 for reps of 8-12 and bench 250ish for sets of 5-10, those will be my sweetspots where I'll be satisfied.
I'm looking forward to pics of your new gym when you get it up and running!
Thanks... I try.
I wholeheartedly agree that you should work on your health and put competing on the back burner. You can still train but not to the extreme of prepping for a meet all the while tightening your diet, getting your back to feel better, and of course spending time with the fam.
