As for dating from the gym, yeah, when I was a teenager my uncle gave me the best advice; Dont shit where you eat. It can mess you up. Glad you got back to it though.

Good work and you're making good progress! I'll second the comments above about choosing your goals and moving toward them based on what you want for yourself. After all, guys can come and go and if you're doing it for yourself, you stick with it. Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint, so make good lifestyle choices and stick with your training, and you'll continue to see the progress.

BTW, it's pretty tough for women to get really lean, so unless you're genetically gifted you're going to have to keep the diet relatively clean. Good luck!

I think the more a man likes women, the more women he likes. I will never understand men that have super narrow scopes of what they find attractive.

Also, the older I get the less important physical appearance is to me compared to other intangible factors.

I have zero patience these days for any bullshit or erratic behavior. I simply want to be with a woman that makes me laugh and feel good and of course the sex has to be good (compatibility).

When I was younger it was all about the looks.

I'm lucky to have an awesome woman in my life and she started lifting after she met me, so that's great. But she will never have abs and I don't care. She's beautiful and cury and sexy and she makes me happy. If somehow she did diet down enough to get visible abs I would be impressed and happy for her but I wouldn't want her to do it for me.

It's all in moderation you know? A tone midsection looks great IMO but abzilla on a woman can definitely turn off some men. Lucky for you, that look is extremely hard to get for a woman so you're not likely to cross that line unless you were determined to do so.
