I went to a few but apparently they weren't that good because I felt more pain then relief. At this point I'm wary of them, I'm told some are mircle workers but my luck hasn't been good with them. If you aren't to bad off what Dorian demonstrates at the beginning of this video has helped my back out tremendously when it comes to pain relief I do this anytime things feel off and before I train back or legs. I also hang from a pull up bar and tuck my chin to my chest and things seem to align as well.

Since I can't post links yet I'm to new. If you type in Dorian Yates Blood and Guts legs on google. It's a video in which he is training people not the classic old school video of him training for the Olympia. This might be able to help you out a little as well.

Chiropractor are bullshit, over past 30 years i have had my share of injuries- they only work on minor specific stuff, people fool themselves into thinking they need them when they are a huge huge waste of cash and time. You either use exercise to remedy yourself or you find a great orthoppeadic sports medicine guy. People that tell you to see one when your back hurts are total and utter fools- as you can permantly injure yourself they are not full medical doctors people should not pretent they are. Most of the shit they see one for usually would have healed on its own. Dont listen go to a real doc - but choose wisely. In 1995 i had my spine operated on total reconstruction lumbar area- im 48 i lift heavy , squat , deads, presss etc , bujutsu slammed violentl on my back 100 times day on hardwood floor during practice - no back pain, not ever , no limtis, no weightlifting belts- you use exercise to maintain you joints by promoting circulation in the little support mucles when you warm up ie rotator, knees, ankle, elbows, erectors

facilitators of health... Many practice the wellness paradigm which focuses on adjustments diet and exercise which is completely on the other ended the spectrum compared to the sick care paradigm practiced by the medical monopoly and big pharma. Obviously an active approach to health is the way to go. Movement is life.

not entirely true

One of the problems with chiropractic is that there is not a lot of evidence for it. Its idea of having an adjustment for a sublaxation is laughable. If I suffer a sublaxation I would be more likely to get a gun and shoot myself than have a chiropractor manipulate me. Having said that the methods used by chiropractors are diverse and I do support manual therapy as a treatment. I see a chiropractor from time to time but he specializes in dry needing and does some soft tissue work where its needed.

i had one chiropractor who actually would make you feel guilty for not going with his plan to come back three times a week for a month than two times a week for month than one time a week for month. finally found one around the corner from house who is happy when he doesnt see you in his office. Oh and he donated bullet proof vest to the k9 dogs in my city so that rite there earned the guy brownie points

These car salesmen style chiropractors are to be avoided. But there are some good ones out there. A good chiro will not just adjust you and tell you to keep coming. A good chiro will tell you what stretches and rehab work you need to be doing on your own at home so that you don't need to comes see them very often.

If you have serious back issues, go to a damn doctor.

If you have something minor that you want to see if it can be fixed by a few adjustments of the back, then check out a chiro.
I was skeptical but I tried it anyways. Went for 4 sessions and my back issue has never came back.

I have had very serious back pain that was successfully treated by a chiropractor. Luckily I only had an impingement, and no herniated discs or anything serious.

My family has used chiropractors for years (they are dairy farmers) and they would be cripples without them.

That said, not all chiropractors are created equal. Ask around, and find out whether the chiro has a good reputation. If several people in the community have had good luck, then that is a good sign. If you don't get rave reviews, be cautious.

I'm struggling right now to overcome back problems that have been plaguing me for months. I started hitting the gym after getting started on HRT and it has really aggravated the problem. I have tingling in my legs and if I walk very much I get partial numbness in my feet. The muscles in my back will spasm and causes tear jerking pain if I've been on my feet for several hours. The pain and numbness is caused when downward pressure is put on my lower spine. Sitting and lying rarely produce any pain.
I am very concerned about how to resolve this. I have a fractured disk which happed about 10 years ago that I was not aware of. My chiropractor found this in my xrays only a month ago when I first started going to him. I have almost no disk material between a couple vertebrae in my lower back and also clearly visible in the xrays is osteoarthritis also in my lower back.
I feel I'm F*^ked.
I went to a chiropractor about a year ago for back pain. I went three times and then I refused to go again. It took me 3 months to recover from the added pain he caused. My new doctor is starting off easy and seems to help with each visit. He told me that with my back, it would be easy to get over aggressive and make matters worse. He gained my trust by showing an understanding of my condition. Not all chiropractors are created equal as it is with any professional.
I feel a small bit better today than when I first went to him about a month ago but I'm also doing some things on my own. I bought an inversion table and I hang like a bat about 5 min each night and some mornings. This seems to be helping some. I'm also injecting Pentosan which is commonly used in horses for rebuilding worn and damaged cartilage. There have been limited studies done on humans for arthritic knees with good results.
I am realizing slow but continuing relief but I cannot attribute it to any one thing. I am willing to do many things to avoid back surgery. I came here looking for ideas from others suffering from similar problems and thought I would share my situation in hope of some positive input.
When I started TRT about 3 months ago I was excited about being able to get into BB and develop a nice form and be more healthy but I haven't been able to do any working out for nearly a month now. My upper body strength and size increase was exciting and I so much want to get back into it. I would appreciate any constructive feedback.

Remember chiros are not just for backs. A good chiro that does shoulders is a godsend.

I have 2 chiros that I seen regularly (3-4x Month) both of mine do muscle therapy too. Costs a little extra, but its well worth it. I couldn't live without my guys.

Yea, even my chiropractor told me that there was nothing he could do for me. I respected him for that. I still go once a month to keep things loosened up.
I'm using an inversion table which, along with stretching has help immensely. I'm back to light workouts but I'm afraid there is surgery in my near future.

Surgery was the best choice I ever made . Since then i never use any type of belt - I've turned my erectors and my abs Into my belt . Stop wasting your money at the chiropractor . I sit here and read every saying a good one tells you to do this and this, I mean really - if any serious lifter actually needs another to remind him to work the weak points and stretch certain muscles that's pathetic and sad. They are crooks and most everyone is deluded - delusion is their specialty .
