The things that I have found so far that I can do without terrible pain are squats using a weight belt, wall sits, light lunges, and one specific leg press machine at my gym. Squatting with a bar on my shoulders redirects the resistance on my knees in a way that hurts.Have you tried a wide stance box squat for legs? Will take a lot of pressure off the knees. Might help get things moving again.
