Is there a particular exercise or particular part of the range of motion that is best for developing size in the VMO?

Modified leg extension so that you begin the movement as normal but as you lift the weight rotate your knees outward so that at the top of the movement your feet are pointing outward at 45 degrees .

Sissy Squats .

Gironda Hack Squat .

One and a half smith squats seemed to help mine tremendously
