How about some foam rolling as part of your warm up. For me the IT band on the side of the legs gets tight and rolling helps loosen it up
I was never a fan of rolling but my wife used to make me do my legs twice a week. I haven't done it in quite some time. Maybe post workout. Not sure I would do it pre.
