Politicians will never vote to take away their jobs or cut their pay. These jobs should be done on a stipend only basis. On my first deployment to Afghanistan we had a national guard unit on the base and there were married couples there with their own private tents. Some of us were bitter that they got to go fuck every night, but it was mainly the fact they were 2 people to a tent when we were crammed 20 to a tent.
