I too have anxiety. It's GAD or generalized anxiety disorder and is hereditary most often paternally and with first born males. What makes it so tough is that EVERYTHING becomes a crisis. Little obstacles and things that should be no big deal become a nightmare that you can't escape.
For me, it was a huge relief just to talk to my doc about it even though I haven't told her about aas use at all. I also found out that both my Dad and Grandpa have the same problem and they've both been medicated for years because of it. I of course had no idea because I come from a long line of macho "manly men" and we don't have "feelings" to talk about, we just have beer and whisky to wash it away.
So, finding out that you aren't crazy, it happens to a lot of people, and probably people in your family should be a big relief. (It was for me)
I also take Wellbutrin which I have to say has completely changed my life and 100% for the positive. It takes a few weeks for everything to level out in your head but when it does, the whole world is amazing and doesn't make you want to run away from it. It also does wonders for restoring good sleep patterns (took about 8 weeks for me)
Lastly, I hope you always know that you've got a group of brother and sisters here that care about you and your well-being. We may not know each other face-to-face, but we all spend a lot of time together and share a lot of our lives with each other. There are a lot of folks here that will ALWAYS be here to talk/listen/make fun of Stunna to make yourself feel better etc.
Congrats- you are one of the few that benefit on wellbutrin/buproprion HCL, also used to help people quit smoking few years back. Again you all need to address things on an individual basis, Wellbutrin can be a wonder drug for some, but the majority of people that have tried it, actually activate their pyche and become quite manic and have much difficulty sleeping. Past 20 years Ive been working either full time or part time as a Social Worker for the Comm of MA Dept of Mental Health- I do case work so I have to sit an listen to everyone abot their meds, life crisis, how other providers help or dont help them_ I monitor and coordinate and advise in many areas- So probably 1000 people at least - psyche meds are powerful, we as a society know less about the human mind than we do about outer space- You think people respond differently to AAS? its even worse with psyche meds- some go years before finding the right recipe or combo- Therefore you really need to see a specialist if you have an issue, cuz even most PCP's dont have elaborate knowledge of psyche meds, they only know what the pharmacy reps tell them when pushing the products- trust me Im part of the very same seminars they all go to, Another issue is like you have heard me spout off about AAS and how one needs to learn to eat and train before considering? Well in this society it seems no matter which way one turns we want a magic pill, that dont exist. I see parents by the 100s wanting ADHD meds because they cant find the time or patience to parent their kids, its sad. With anxiety you too need to find time to relax, find relaxing activities, therapy to find the root of anxiety and even practice other skills like relaxation breathing or diaprgmic breathing which takes effor but more powerful than any pill- Pills have sides these ones are actually worse that our demonized AAS that society has such an issue with- allkinds of long term sides with continued use. Someone on another thread used the word quackery with me LOL- all over this board we share our experiences- Ive done the AAS for 15 years and the school and career with these mentalhealth issues- Im saying see a specialist- so no quackery here
