Just a little self-justification here;

Finished all of last week's numbers with no real difficulty. Even got 360x6 on the squats which was a nice surprise. No knee trouble and all the reps were strong and fast. And then.... I realized I was bored. And, looking back at the last few months, it was pretty easy to see that I have not been very excited about this for at least the last month. I have been using any excuse to miss a workout or move it to the next day, the workouts have been shorter, and there hasn't been much energy into them.

So, in my usual fashion when I get bored, I went full retard in the other direction. Going to be trying the Ortmeyer Deadlift Routine. Started today so wish me luck :D

Not too bad of a start. Going to try to work in 4 days a week. School is almost on break so I can at least get a few good weeks in before it starts. But that is a couple of weeks away lol. This week was easy, next week slightly tougher, and then the following weeks is where the ass kickings start

Didn't workout today cause work was long as hell, shoulders and back are beat to hell cause I retardedly put press and deadlift together, and I got a paper due tomorrow that I need to get done.

That's how I do it... put deads with OHP.

I like the combo, but I underestimated the amount of muscle soreness deadlifts were going to put on me. The weights were not heavy but yesterday I felt like I had maxed out on them lol. There was not a single part of my back that was not sore as shit.

Felt really really good :D

Not much more... did some shoulder prehab/rehab work. I failed the 315 cause I couldn't lock the right arm completely out. It was not the most pleasant feeling in the world lol. The 315x3 was supposed to be 325 but I forgot to put the 5s on each end :(
DB presses and flyes were solid. I do not think I will misjudge the difference between 30ish degrees and 45 degrees again lol. That shit got WAAAAAAAYYYY harder.

Forgot to post my workout Monday so this will be a 2 for 1 special around here :D

Mag/Ort DL Week 3
Bench Day
Weight: 219 pounds
Monday, March 20th, 2017

Paused Benchpress
45x10
95x10
135x10
185x7
225x5
275x3 vid
315x1 vid
335x1 vid
315x1
275x3
225x7

That was it for this one. I had two reasons for putting bench on Monday. One, my back was annihilated from lifting stupidly heavy shit at work all day so I knew it was probably not a good idea to attempt one of these deadlift workouts. Second reason is I started another benchpress competition so I had to get something in :D Main reason was the sore back.

Today's festivities:

Mag/Ort DL Week 3
Deadlift Day
Weight: ????
Disclaimer: I only had about 30 minutes to get this done.... it took me 20.... form is sloppier because of this

Deadlift
135x8
225x8
315x5
365x5
420x4 vid

Belted Sets
420x4
420x4
420x4 vid
485x2 vid
535x2 vid
420x9

Very little rest between sets. The second and third sets of the 420 might as well have been the same set lol. I just stood there for about 20 seconds between them. I have to change all the brake lines in my truck so I am ready for camping/boating season coming up. Old truck is old :(
Anyway, 535x2 is touch and go, and the 420x9 set is a mixture of touch and go. I will never do that again with heavy-ish weight. It made the set go faster but it made it so much harder to finish.

Will post the videos when I finished bashing my knuckles in under this damn monster the wife convinced me to buy :D
