squats 385 8RPE till 9RPE
3 sets 5 reps

failed on the 3rd set 5th rep. did something to my hip abductor/IT band. will be taking a break from squats till it feels better. only discomfort is when im weight bearing and walking up stairs.

Hip is still a touch sore, but after some mobility work i was able to get into position virtually pain free. that is also the most weight ive ever done with concentric squats. Bench felt on point as **** last night.

TFL?? Sounds similar to the symptoms I have when my TFL gets aggravated.

Hamstrings are my strong point.
yeah it helped out quite a bit. id be lying if i wasnt a touch nervous about 1x3 @9 today


TFL?? Sounds similar to the symptoms I have when my TFL gets aggravated.

thats what POB thinks it is also and after doing some smashing it feels alot better so im sure its that.

squats are feeling great. bench felt great. deadlifts felt phenomenal. did the session on 3-6 in just under 90 minutes as the gym was closing.

Monster training week, man! Kudos!

Glad to hear the hip is doing better. Just keep at rehabbing it. I can tell you if you miss a session or two, or do it real quick ... that soreness/discomfort comes back with a vengeance.

yeah the plan is to do it often to prevent it from happening. i will definitely be getting a deep tissue massage after my meet.

Floor Press was also a PR. bench felt great last night. got a tad out of the groove on the 3rd rep of 350 but was able to recover.

No pain on squats?

ZERO pain while squatting. ocassionally ill experience a little pain at the very end of the day walking up the stairs to my room. lol thats about it tho

that will be my opener. knowing my buddy was gonna be testing maxes gave me a little extra fire. which was a PR even if it was a single. really glad how well squats are going. next week will be making my second attempts, which will be 495. ill be stoked to break that 5 plate barrier.
