You Can't Flex Fat!

NoFat.jpg

Some of you participated in The Iron League's 3000 push-ups challenge for the month of June 2011... For July, we knocked off 7000 sit-ups. And in August? 10,000 squats.

I celebrate my birthday this month... so I figured that this month's challenge should be fat-shedding.

...next-level Fat-shedding maneuver FTW!

The goal? Pick 1 to 10 of the exercises listed.
Complete 3000 reps for each exercise selected... i.e. 100 reps per day. Simple 'eh?

...The exercises?
-Jumping jacks - 3000 reps
-Side Leg Lifts - 3000 reps
-Sit-ups - 3000 reps
-Push-ups/wall push-ups - 3000 reps
-Burpees/Squat Thrusts - 3000 reps
-Step-ups - 3000 steps
-(abdominal) leg raises - 3000 reps
-Crunches - 3000 reps
-Dips (& variations) - 3000 reps
-Planks - 3000 seconds (i.e. 50 minutes)
-Squats/Jumping squats - 3000 reps
-Pull-ups/Chin-ups - 3000 reps
-Calf raises/Calf Presses - 3000 reps
-Lunges/Walking Lunges - 3000 steps
-Skipping - 3000 reps
-Deadlifts - 3000 reps
-Barbell Rows - 3000 reps
-Handstand Push-ups - 3000 reps
-Dumbbell Swings/Kettlebell swings - 3000 reps
-Tire Flips - 3000 reps
-Farner's walk (or piggy back carry)- 3000 steps
- Sprinting - 3000 meters
- Brisk walk - 3000 minutes (insanity at its finest)

Beginners (and those who missed out on the push-up/sit-up
challenge) can opt for 1-2 exercises. Intermediates can opt for 3-5 exercises.
And the clinically insane can opt for 10+ exercises.

The rules?
-Push yourself past your comfort zone.
- Only reps executed on or after Sept 1st count towards this month's totals.
-Update your status (and/or post here on the event wall) w/ your
daily/total rep total, as this'll help encourage others to keep up the good fight.

Additionally:
Feel free to post up vids of how you incorporate these exercises into your conditioning/core/strength work-outs over the month, so others can be inspired to try new things.

Are YOU ready?

This thread'll serve as the feedback and support thread through-out the month for those inclined to post up here.

There's also the original thread on my board (and other participating forums): September's 3,000-30,000 Ultimate Fat-Loss Challenge! - NarkSide Nutrition

On facebook, there's an event page which'll serve a similar purpose: Aanmelden | Facebook (472 participants in the last 24 hours and growing)
