Mas practice
Was paired up with a comparable gal I learned ALOT of technique and hammy was fine.
I will be doing a comp June 13 in San Jose.
I popped a blood vessel in my eye doing this today

How wide do you hold the bar on the close grip bench? I have started going wider (nearly 12" between my hands) as I have started training heavier on those. Do you find you do the same?

I'm kinda a bench dummy. I have my hands just about shoulder width. The bar is a shitty gym bar and it's just where the knurling starts
My triceps overpower everything else

My triceps overpower everything else
Not a bad way to go. Close grip spares the shoulders, and the big tricep hit makes it good assistance work for your log press.
