Since I'm a man, I don't really feel right posting in the women's forum, but I felt like I had to spread the word for a little PSA. Mods please fe free to delete or move my thread if it's not acceptable.

My wife has been premenapausal for about 5 years. Lots of symptoms there besides no libido. Brain fog, motivational issues, sleep issues (no matter how much she got it wasn't enough), 0 results from the gym. I could keep going. Obviously, being a guy I wanna hump my lady, and I jokingly said a couple years ago I was gonna pop her with some cyp while she slept one day and we'll laugh about her thumb clit later.

Obviously I never did that. Fast forward to about 2 months ago, and she reads a lot of articles about how women's, albeit low, testosterone falloff is majorly responsible. I had an idea after I read a pub med article (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7098532/)
that recommended ~5mg test per day for women. My friend gave me some nasal test stuff a year ago which I never used called natesto which distributes right around 5mg nasally. Men are supposed to use one pump each nostril 3x per day. Well...I gave it to my wife. It's no ester, so if she had any side effects they'd go away almost immediately after she quit, most likely.

She started on a Friday. By Sunday she was going all over the place, running 15 errands and still had energy for the gym. She came back home from work Monday not wanting to eat a bullet.

We used this stuff for another week to make sure, then I started to check for transdermals because this stuff is hard to get, apparently. I found some that's 50mg/ml, thankfully to be lower dose and we'd load it into 1ml oral syringes. Finding the right does was a little tricky. Bioavailability of the mucous membrane is obviously much greater than transdermal anywhere. She ended up using 0.2ml, or 10mg, on the tops of her feet once a day around noon. And that was the magic number.

Oh... And her vision improved, too. She can't put into words 'how"... But like not blurry anymore? She doesn't have to squint as much to see some words. She doesn't wear glasses.

This went so well now her sister is taking it at the same dosage. She's only been in it for 3 days, but it's already made a difference for her, too.

Both of them said it was life changing.

Oh... And sex is at LEAST weekly again.. Hasn't been like that in years. So... Good for me, too!

Thanks for attending my TED talk with 1 medical work cited and a sample size of 2.

Man I wasn't aware that worked so fast but good for you both. I bet there a lot of positive health benefits to all of this that may show up down the road.

I'm not sure if the better vision is a real plus for you though. I'm a lot younger when I look in the mirror with my glasses off. Also a little blurry vision may make your Jimmy look bigger. lol

To employ an apt phrase here, "Let me get this straight."
You call your Dick, "Jimmy"?

Ok you're no young pup and will probably recall the old Beavis and Butthead where he says, Kick me in the Jimmy.

My wife calls my Jimmy no. I take it out and she says, um... That's a no.

I'm old enough to have been told to wear a Jimmy Hat

And old enough to have gone with a couple of buddies to a Halloween party dressed as Beavis, and Butthead...and Stewart

My gal started on some test cyp awhile back & holy shit did it change things. She had some female parts removed, I don’t remember exactly what all was taken out. She was always very sexually active up to that point.

She talked to her lady part doctor about the fact that she had shut down hard. Doc prescribed her something & if I remember correctly insurance didn’t cover it. She discussed it with Dr Wally & now she like 5 mgs of test per week ( not positive on the dose, it’s taken subq). She is off the charts active again now. It took about 5 weeks to really kick in but when it did holy shit! Simply amazing! Hopefully this will help others.

Interesting. You mean a hysterectomy?

So all the articles I've seen, and what my wife is in, is around 5mg daily. The patches, if they still make them like androderm, are 5mg and are used 1 per day. There are still some companies making stuff like that but I think they're compounded by pharmacies, so expensive and probably not covered by insurance.

My wife isn't scared of needles and has been around this community since she was like 22. Up until now, the biggest thing she ever did was GH, and she spent the big bucks with a known overseas source. She also took Nolvadex a couple times to kill her estrogen so her test was not affected. It worked for her when she was younger. She's NOT cheap, particularly when it comes to pharmacology or anything else that goes in her body. She doesn't trust underground labs because she's had more than one prior boyfriend that got insane infections from gear. They're probably all retarded and did something wrong. Actually, I'm sure of it lol

But anyway.. If the Dr would prescribe something I'm sure she'd get it even if insurance didn't cover it.

I'd love to have her run patches or something subq to keep her test levels more stable. Even the natesto has to be taken 3x a day. But because we're limited to 5-10mg per day, she can only manage 1x/day. I think the patches are probably the most effective for women. That's just my subjective opinion.

Man if she'd get some more nova or genatropin (therapeutic dosage) and find the right test level that's stable, I'm sore she could turn the clock back a decade. Oh well... Baby steps

I'll be following this with great interest. My wife too is searching to improve her current status. He OB is trying a few things but like most of them he's taking baby steps. She's on a few things, I'll have to get the names of the meds basically a suped up diet pill? Anyway, is end all is injecting pellets which she is nervous about. My buddy' wife was on them and he said he'd wake up in the middle of the night, every night, and she'd be taking care of business herself. My pecker isn't even 70% currently, not sure if this would mix well. That's another story!!!!

It was a hysterectomy but I’m not sure of the extent. There seems to be different levels based on the amount of things being removed, I don’t believe hers was a full hysterectomy.
I’m 98% positive she is just taking 5 mgs weekly subq. It’s going really good for her. After the hysterectomy she was in a serious funk & not just in the bedroom. At about the 5 week mark things changed drastically for the better. She is back to her old self again if not better.
