Hisangriness, just gotta jump back in get a new one you won't be sorry. We have allot of dogs, we lost three of our old girls this year with cancer, not all at once, it's tough.

as far as im aware the american breed has been slightly modified to give a sleeker sharper appearance, ive had three now and they are fairly heavy set with more muscular definition in comparison with pictures of american lines. i read that the american type is smaller and lighter, but that may just be on certain show bloodlines of course.

on a funny note, the pixiebob tom i have has whipped both the dog's asses!! they accidently got in the house one day and he told them it was, in no uncertain terms, his turf lol his paws are actually bigger than the dogs!!

Thanks for the info! I love dogs, and I'm always interested in knowing what their differences are. And I'm not surprised about the cat. My cat Zoe is the boss in our house and she's always kicking my dog's butt!

i lost my first dog about a year and half ago (14yrs old) and still miss her. they dont call them mans best friend for nothing
