Strong benching JB and smart training to let the knee heal a little.

And re sumo or regular deads: I think you just need to keep experimenting until you find the right stance. For those of us who struggle with deads, finding the most natural stance/grip is the key IMO.

..........I just have a feeling something is going on with my deads thats keeping me back. Just ordered a belt. so hopefully it will help.

A belt will def help ya when you pull. Depending on your body you will either be best suited for sumo or conventional deads.

This las phase I started sumo. Just too see the difference. I found a weak spot inner thigh. So I started doing wider stance squats. I actually like them and less pressure on my knee but havent gone over 400 yet. Everything feels good so far. Next phase I will go back to 5 plates then 6 on the following phase. The inner thigh is hating me right now.lol

What's ur opinion on sumo or normal deads??

No opinion on one versus the other. It's whatever you feel most comfortable doing. I do traditional, but that don't make better than sumo.

Thats cool. I am sticking with a wider squat stance since the knee feels better. as for the deads I am gonna play around on the warm-ups and stick with traditional on deads on the maxes.

Week off does a body good.. 5/3/1 is looking to be an awesome phase for me. hopefully if the knee holds out on the last week Im going for 600 again. Your accessory choices doing there job.

They were like "papa please no more, please papa no more" LOL It wasnt too bad the fat gripz put alot of extra strain. They are awesome little tools to pull out of the bag at time..

That's some impressive squatting JB.
That's buddy the knee felt awesome. I stopped at 565 because I need a belt. I ordered one last week but its about 3 weeks out. I wanted too max out but was a little nervous with back and knee. I wrapped my knees so tight my toes were tingling. Lol
