Thank II, it is the day that almost was LOL... here's the story :)

Destroy and Flood
Leg Day

* Well sometimes shit just happens, if I didn’t have my head up my ass this shit wouldn’t have. ☺ Exactly halfway through the beatdown with headphones cranking some Disturbed I notice the lights flipping on and off in the gym, like last call or some shit, literally. I don’t usually use this gym on the weekends so I guess I didn’t need to pay attention to the fact that they actually close at some point LOL…. Oh well…. It was good while it was going. My nephew breathed a big sigh of relief that he didn’t have to grind through the second half of the Flood ☺

Thanks so much Gorilla! I'm hitting it as hard as I can right now, this back to back days is turning punishment into torture LOL... But I'm having fun, sad I didn't get to complete the work today.

Some day... many many months from now... I'll catch up to you on those squats bro. Simply awesome work.

Couple questions:

How long have you been lifting seriously?
Were your legs easy or hard gainers?

Gorilla, you can read backwards in the log and see the full workouts.

II, I know you will bro, you are too strong to be slowed down!!!
I used to lift seriously with a boss of mine back in the late 80's who was an Olympic PL'r with Ken Patera the wrestler, he was the guy who got me into it. Back then I was 180 benching 365 1RM. I stopped lifting heavy and just lifted in not so organized ways over the years but always been pretty strong naturally. Because of my job I have had to watch my weight and size so I started freakishly long running, upwards of 100 mi a week. I was pretty lean but still pretty big, that's just my frame similar to you I'm sure. My legs have been very strong and durable because of the running. I've had my R ACL blown out playing football and reconstructed using a hamstring graft, it was a winner, about a month after my surgery(there's more to the story) I was leg pressing about 1,000 lbs but again no squatting etc. I actually never messed around with Deads and Squats but about 2007 I started back and said screw this shit I'm going to do something I've never done I'm going to follow my genetics and see where it goes. In 2009 I hit my first Dead with 4 plates 405 and I've been attacking it ever since. My legs are easy strength gainers but not really size if that makes any sense. They're obviously not thin but I don't think they are as thick as they should be for being as strong as they are. I think it's all the running having a long term effect, but who knows I'm trying to grow them size wise too. Sorry for the rambling.

Thanks for the feedback Halo. I understand on the stregth gaining but size gaining not matching. Some areas are just genetically harder. I guess that's what keeps us motivated. If it was all easy we'd probably lose interest. That's a LOT of miles you were running BTW!
