pre-exhuasting the chest before bench is always a good idea for some squeezing (mind muscle connection bro science) as far as set up just make sure your shoulders blades are together on the bench and mess around with the width of your grip. Try it all out for a while until a width feels right. Mine for example is pinkies on the ring, yours may be ring finger etc personally i always feel DB presses more in the chest than i do Barbell lifts because my shoulders seems to take over a lot on presses for the most part. Just make sure to start with flies, hit 2-3 exercises and end with hammer strength, slow reps squeezing every rep.
