"Two Victorian police officers have been suspended as part of a crackdown on illicit drug use.
Police raided 10 properties across Melbourne on Tuesday, including the homes of three police officers.
A police sergeant and two senior constables have been interviewed over the alleged possession and use of growth hormones and steroids.
The sergeant and a senior constable have been stood down with pay.
Deputy Commissioner Lucinda Nolan says she is concerned about the allegations.
"Once we get people taking illegal substances then they automatically compromise themselves," she said.
"We have had significant concerns that some of our members are involved in performance enhancing drugs and this is just showing how aggressive we are going to pursue these."
Police also seized two pill presses, synthetic steroids and human growth hormones from a property in Moonee Ponds.
The investigation is ongoing and several people are still being questioned by police."
