I think a lot of patriots confuse the concept of “America” with the reality. I believe in the theory of America is noble just as the theory of Socialism has noble intentions.

Yeah, there’s definitely some confused and ignorant Cuban citizens. Any praise for the US there is confused. It’s the US that’s negatively labeled and purposefully oppressed (i.e, sanctions) Cuba for many decades time.
Example explained:
I don't really think any of them are confused. The actual citizens are tired of living under communist oppression. There is a reason people from other countries flock to us. It's the same reason people are running from the big blue cities to red states.

The problem is dirty politicians on both sides not following the constitution for many a year. The constitution only works if it's followed. It's a shit show out there because of it. The constitution gets in the way of "hungry for power" people.

I think some may be trying to make a move over here like the situation in mexico. Not sure that the current administration would allow it because if they ever get a chance to vote, you can bet it won't be for any kind of socialist or communist rule.

Hong kong did the same thing protesting with our flag and taiwan will be next.

Good to see you around man.

Foreigners often fall for the BS narrative about the US being so great (Yawn). Often failing to realize the condition (economic, US placed/cooperative dictators, etc) of their country is the result of US meddling, as all empires have done.

Cuba's economy was the best in the Caribbean in the 50s. While the US didn't trade with Cuba since the revolution, all of Europe and Canada sure did. Why are all the rafts/boats perilously traveling over 90 miles of shark infested waters going in only one direction? I assure you it's not because of US meddling. Central planning has failed everywhere it's been practiced.

US, with all its worts and wrinkles, is the best thing going. Is the US perfect? Nope, not by a long shot. But your chances of moving out of the social quartile that you grew up in (upward mobility) is greater in the US than anywhere else. So the US has it's problems, but your opportunities for improving yourself are better in the US than elsewhere. I don't think that's a BS narrative.

I agree with most points here…. Except veneration of the flag and anthem. Those were long ago co-opted as representing gov’t and the military industrial complex, NOT “freedom” for all humanity.
So fuck that shit. I’m American because of the bordered plot of dirt I was born on, and no other reason. I don’t co-sign institutional bullshit; rituals, traditions…..

TB, I got drafted into the Marine Corps, 1st RECON Bn during the Vietnam war during the last year of the draft. This was a war that no one agreed to including myself. However, I have nothing against the America, Americans or the flag. This was all about politicians and globalist wanting control of resources. WE.....those of us sent. were just expendable distractions sent to create the illusion we were there to protect the world against socialist. Lots of people I went to high school never came back. I didn't return to parades for heroes but returned to crowds of people who hated us, blamed us for the war and spit on us call us all baby killers. Even after that, I still hold a great deal of respect for America, the American people and the American flag. I am very proud to be an American. Those were sent to fight were not the ones who started this senseless war. We were drafted sent to fight a war that had no purpose, to fight and die as a distraction for their real goals. I would stand up and defend our borders and flag even today if need be. For all the good and bad, this is the best country in the world. We have enough freedom here that many from other countries risk their lives and all they have to immigrate here legally and even come here illegally. Of all these whining and complaining race baiters, I have a very valid reason to be pissed. The actions of our government and our political leaders almost cost me my life and left me with memories I will never get over. Like I always say, my best day in Vietnam was worse then your most frightening nightmare. Yet I still stand for the National Anthem and still salute our great flag. Seems a few people in this great country are very ungrateful for the great country they live in.

Like Mike_RN said, wanna be pissed lets be pissed at the endless wars our politicians seem to get us in. Send our soldiers home as heros and let them defend our own borders.

I don't want to pretend that it's easy, because it's not. But in my field of work, if you're black or female, every single firm or company is tripping all over itself to hire you and promote you. You still have to have the requisite skill set, and the work is not necessarily easy, but if you're willing to do it, show up every day and commit to excellence, you will be promoted to partner or head of the department, guaranteed!

You just have to work your ass off every day. Firms and companies can't find blacks or females that are willing to do it. But I guarantee you that there are no structural impediments to anyone reaching that level. So that opportunity is available to everyone, it's simply the cultural problems that have nothing to do with racism, IMO, that make it more difficult for blacks to have the requisite skill set to do the job. I just wish that the black leaders in their communities were interested in addressing the cultural problems instead of making excuses that it's someone else's fault. But that seems like where we are today...

So Big Tex some of your points on Municipalities are correct while some not so much - sure the colonists municipalities were formed based on English bobbies etc. later on with the Missouri compromise and other states their police forces were entirely slave catching forces.
Sure I know about the African kings who sold their prisoners and poor people into slavery. Sure I know about Natives and Black Slave owners. That does not negate the 3/5 law, Emancipation proclamation nor the Civil war. Not does it negate Red lining, gerrymandering and under valuing houses owned by people of color.(all examples of Systematic racism that the “ugly woman “ who got third place has been protesting for years)

Lastly would y’all please stop mentioning BLM like i even Said anything about the organization. I NEVER SAID OR REFERENCED EVER!!!! Nor would I knew what they stood for before George Floyd. So you doing that is the equivalent to saying oh yeah Im not racist I have a black friend. You mentioning that corrupt anti family machine does nothing to help your point. I dont Agree with them never have.
As for the if you don’t like it get the fuck out rhetoric- why would i or Should others who are pointing out what needs to be changed in THEIR country. I have Just as much right as any one of you to complain about this country because honestly if you’re not an Native American you’re ancestors were all Immigrants, indentured servants (slaves for a period of time and a nice way to say it)
Lastly you talking about other countries like that’s comparable- it’s not. Clearly none of you have done a formal debate as y’all ramble and bring assumptions up that are baseless on the premise your trying to present. So telling me what i know Latinos call darker toned humans does nothing to make your argument stronger- you’re just proving the point of how Darker colored individuals are mistreated world wide. Y’all be blessed ya hear…

So America just did the same thing every other culture did since history started. How many Christians were slaves? Its time to get over it. Trust me I remember plainly when we got integrated in public schools. I remember plainly the black folks forced to sit in the back of the bus, sit in the top of the movie theater and got to a different window at the fast food restaurant or doctors office. I still remember getting scolded by the store manager because I drank at the colored ONLY water fountain. I still remember the horrors of seeing my 1st REAL KKK rally. It was truly horrifying.

Yes, if you disrespect this country, the flag and the people then get the fuck out. Like I said. if anyone has a reason to be pissed at America, I do. SO I say it again, go find something that is better. Its a big world. We have a lot of people who love to complain but they do nothing to solve problems. Just complain. Seems our athletes are becoming the biggest complainers, but only while they compete. You never see any of them doing anything to help once their season is over.

As I sad, my wife is Latino, I live in a community and city that is majority Latino and spent my career working in public schools that are 95% Latino. I have never witness any mistreatment except when a black kid transfers in and they call him a pinche negro. I have been personally treated badly by a few of the kids when they make derogatory comments about WHITEY in Spanish. Yea, this whitey does know some Spanish. So my debate is just as valid as yours is as I have certainly been there and done that longer than you have. Yea, I know Chicago is a bad place but apparently you have never seen Houston. Trust me we have everything you have and probably more as we are much closer to the border. We have some very bad people here.

Other countries are not comparable? Really? Yet America is the bad country? I heard my own mother in law talk about how America is so racist and the police beat Hispanics. Yea, she get this off CNN international. Yet in Buenos AIres, one of the largest cities in the world they have no black folks and the white European majority call the dark indigenous people "BROWNS." Yet we are racist here in America? Lots of liberals use places like Denmark as a model. They love everyone......yet they have very few black folks. People who think it is so bad here honestly need to travel outside of their little box sometime. Let one of my Pakistani student tell you reality about discrimination and hate. They love being here because they are safer.

None of us has ever done a formal debate? REALLY?

Oh and one more thing you went and gave me all these penal codes and said people would get prosecuted for murder you lynching. What white person can you research or say that was ever persecuted and you mention the Dyer Bill it was filibustered? Ohhh you can’t expect for the white POS in by golly your great ol state of Texas that dragged a mentally handicapped person for miles.

Here in Texas we certainly have no problem with getting rid of the pieces of shit who do thing like that . As I recall all of the white guys were executed. Regardless of race. Murder my friend is murder no matter how the murder is done the victim is dead. I can certainly provide a lot of horrible murders right here in Houston that have taken place by all races in the last few weeks. Being sick in the had has no race.

Wasn't that long ago that a black man murdered his girlfriend and dismembered her. Or did WHITEY cause this? How do you think the parents of this poor women felt about this gruesome murder.

Hey, how about the illegal alien in New Mexico that beheaded someone and played soccer with his head. Now that is nice, huh? But he wasn't white.

Sorry you don't care for Texas. But I honestly don't care for Chicago. More black are killed by other black there then Mexicans are killed in Mexico by drug cartels day by day. You guys got your hands full there and honestly need to worry about solving your own issues. Might start by not electing the same idiots over and over.
