Thanks for the feedback. I guess it's nice to know I'm not an island when it comes to the loose skin. Just new for me (then again, haven't leaned up this much in an awful long time). Coach told me to order some posing trunks for future pics so he can see whether I'm leaning out in the glutes. I'm guessing that will be the last place to shed the fat. I still feel like I've got a solid 5-10 pounds of fat I can lose.
Everyone holds fat differently. However, glutes can be a PITA. The way you are doing it now is smart. The more often you push low the more you are going to get off the glutes. When someone chases glutes for the first time, they end up losing a lot of muscle in the process. By taking a little bit at time you are far more likely to keep your tissue when they come in.

Depending on how much tissue you gain this year, classic may still be in the cards.

I can't make that cut anymore. Last year, I almost died cutting down to classic. Every muscle in my body seized up from about 7 pm to 11:30 pm. I was by myself, couldn't move, couldn't even cry for help as my jaw was locked shut. It hurt so bad, I went from hoping I would pull through to, I hope my heart seizes up next.

This year, I considered it again, but I was still 11 lbs over and started having major heart palpitations from the water cut. Next year, there is no fucking way! I am still trying to grow 10-15 lbs of tissue a year. I am not pulling an Urs and cutting 40 lbs to make weight.

Everyone has loose skin at your age when they lean out. Even if you only had to drop 20 lbs of fat, that skin has been stretched for a long, long time. Like a rubber band in the freezer. A little bit comes back, but the leaner you get the more you will have.

When you get on stage, because you will. I have all the faith in your coach talking you into it. You are going to look left and right and everyone is going to have the same issue. If they don't, it is because they had it cut out. Just had a client get their extra skin removed last week and my wife is getting hers done a couple months after the holidays when we do a hard push to get as much skin available as possible. It is far more common in bodybuilding than most people think. Just make sure if you get some skin removed to have them remove any fat they see as well.
I came down from 305 to 192 at my lowest , my belly looks like a trash bag made of crepe paper , compression shirt does wonders I aint goin so far as scissoring it off although it is tempting.

I "feel" smaller, and according to a tape measure, that's probably true, but the comments I get in the gym are the opposite. Guys are saying I'm looking huge, when in fact, I'm just not carrying around a layer of fat. So the delts and chest are striated, my quads have detail and vascularity, etc.

Plus, face it, as we get older, we're all better off walking around with less bodyfat, both for health and simply quality of life.
I haven't gotten fat in years now, it just feels better being ready for the pool.beach, pics etc anytime PLUS I need to take care of myself after all the injuries and medical trauma I would have to be a fucking moron to give myself diabetes or heart issues.
You are on a great path brother don't stray and you will be way happier in the long run!
