Do you plan on competing next year?
No plans on competing at this time. But I'll never say never. If my coach says that it would be a good experience for me, and provide me some incentive to make further improvements, I'm open to it. But if I'm not entering a growth phase until 4/1, and a typical growth phase is 20 weeks, that puts me in caloric surplus mode until about 9/1, and he would likely want me to transition to a health phase before jumping into a contest prep. So that would put a contest prep phase starting in mid October and going into the holidays. That doesn't sound like too much fun! LOL

On the cut you did recently, what was your approximate daily caloric intake? Just wondering, as you made some good progress in lowering your bodyfat.
Thanks bro.

Yeah actually a overview of what your diet is looking like would be insightful

Let me take a look at my meal plan to ID the number of cals. What was key for me was embracing the low level hunger. That’s when I knew the body fat was dropping. I’ve got Reta on hand but have been using a very low EOD dosing for BG regulation rather than appetite suppression.

I still have at least another 5 -7 pounds to drop

My diet was:

Training Days (5 meals):
Total Cals: 2900
P: 272
C: 305
F: 65

Non-Training Days (5 meals)
Total Cals: 2500
P: 265
C: 221
F: 63

At a high level, protein and fats stayed pretty constant, and the knob that we turned was carbs.

Pics as of 11/2/25. Weight still at 206 (even though I look softer in these pics IMO). So no change. Was a week filled with family obligations, so not too upset that I didn't move forward. But it's time to get that steady progress again.

I've been pleased with the improvement in leg detail as I've dieted down. Was concerned that my legs were going to shrink and I'd be accused of skipping leg day! LOL

I've added more focus on adductors and hammies. They both need some love, but that's what this next year is for.
And don't ask me what happened to my calves. They disappeared into the night. That will also get attention this next year!
