yup i just stopped going… not going to waste my time when the wife has insurance… no way… the docs i dealt with were dumb as a box of rocks… i can use whom ever i want and not deal with the va then so be it…

My father retired a Captain and never went to the VA either. He started working after the service and payed for personal insurance the rest of his life. Eventually going to a Medicare Advantage plan through his employment. I am not sure why vets keep putting up with this piss poor treatment. Sure the county awes it to you but it just is not worth having. Exactly @J2048b I go to which ever doctor I want to go to now and don't have to wait on appointments. If I don't like the doctor, I get a new one.

it is great when you hear of people loving what the VA has to offer

prior to the community care network they had a different one that allowed you to find your own civilian doctor, which i did, and it was great! Now ccn sucks and u wait forever depending on what state ur in
