How are things today ? i had a WC injury that required surgery. Full Thickness tear is what they call it. i was out 6 months from work. returned to work, couple months into my return my Patient coded, I did chest compressions and tore my Labrum in the process. My right dominant arm/bicep is approx 2/3 the size of my left. easily noticeable and any pushing exercise movement is weakened. I was told by MDs on both sides that the labrum repair would be beneficial. But as you know, dealing with WC overall is a challenge. dealing with the WC group is the Worst to the freaking 10th power.
Sorry to hear about your injury. I’m actually doing pretty good. I am definitely not babying it at work or in the gym. The only time it has bothered me I preexhausted my delts & then tried doing fb presses with the same weight I would usually use if starting with fb press. I got a bit sloppy with the form & aggravated things but after a day or two it was ok.
WC is pretty rough to deal with. In all honesty I don’t trust them & I really didn’t want one of their doctors cutting on me. I’ll avoid that as long as possible.

My past experiences with cortisone shots is as long as you get the 3 shots 3 months apart it actually seems to have healed the area's I've used it on. That plus Tumeric seems to work really well. Plus adding in bpc-500 to help with healing after surgery.

I were told that the labrum tear was made more of a possibility because of the surgery. and I am told that the shoulder can be injured again more easily because of the first. all i did was chest compressions and shiat popped. Not bench pressing...go figure. Corticone/steroids were helpful for the discomfort. However, I am part of the rare group that yields the side affects of having hiccups with most PO and Injectable steroids. the dayum hiccups last 2 days....so for me...the steroids are not worth using. Hiccups for 2 days is annoying as all heck.

Im a freaking mess......but still handsome as heck. :)

I was always told never get cortisone shots unless it’s pre op. It’s my understanding that cortisone injections are degenerative and cause the joint to break down further. It’s bad for cartilage and joints. Muscle tears may be different. One shot here and there is fine but if a doctor has you coming back for monthly shots, it’s time to find a new doctor!

I remember having hiccups for days. But can’t remember what caused it. Super annoying and then your abs start cramping. Fun!

I recently heard the same thing about breaking shit down. They won’t be doing monthly inspections on me.

I have the same problem with steroid inj, hiccups, really bad for 24 - 48 hrs after, starting at about 18 hrs post inj, about the time I feel the systemic effects of the steroid.

I had a SLAP tear in my right shoulder. Let it go for years and it just progressively got worse.

I kept lifting and hoping it would heal somehow with PT and working around it.

Finally had surgery on it about 10 or so years ago (early 40s) and do not regret it.

They fixed the SLAP tear, torn labrum, torn long head bicep tendon.

I would get it taken care of sooner rather than later.
